Minutes of SL Meeting held 09/01/2008
Present: 2nd Stockingford, 1st Bulkington, Nuneaton North, 4th Bedworth, Central, 15th Nuneaton, 11th Nuneaton

Troop Numbers:
Troop numbers: Bulkington 16, Coton 17, North 17, 4th Bedworth 17, 2nd Stockingford 8, 1st Nuneaton (King) 29, Central 24, 15th 12, 11th 42 (Friday) 26 (Tuesday).
Bear Trek:
Nuneaton teams came first and third - well done. Thanks to all who participated and helped.
Leaders Social Evening:
This was cancelled due to lack of interest - date for this years event is in the District Diary (attached)
Ghost Hunt:
This went well - again thanks to all who took part and helped on the event.
Quiz Night - February 6th:
In the absence of Coton Bulkington offered to host the quiz at their HQ meeting at 7:00 for a 7:30 start.
POST MEETING NOTE: The event will be held at COTON HQ, The Cube, Edward Street - timings as above
Malvern Challenge:
Numbers wishing to attend the Malvern Challenge this year MUST be with Tony by January 31st. Cost for the event will be £31 and this money is to be paid by 15th February or places cannot be guaranteed. Coach prices are to be looked at to make transport to the event easier.
5-a-side Football:
This is being held at Alderman Smith School again. Maximum of 2 teams per Troop and numbers are to be in by march 5th SL Meeting so that leagues can be sorted in advance.
POST MEETING NOTE: Due to a problem with bookings the football tournament will now be held on APRIL 26th starting at 2pm
Miller Trophy:
Please ensure your annual report is sent to Tony for consideration for this years trophy. Next year will be decided on the points system as per attached sheet.
District Activity Camp Meeting:
Due to a lack of attendance a new meeting will be arranged to discuss the District Camp.
Transport Challenge 19th April:
This will be held at Rough close with 1 team of 4-6 per Troop. Activities will be Scout car race (Bulkington will supply details), Gun carriages, Sedan Chairs and possibly a zip wire. Further details at next SL meeting in March.
County Scout Camp:
The County Scout Camp will be held at 5 Ways Lakes on 11-13 April 2008 and will cost £10 per head to include a Disco and Barbecue. The event will otherwise be self catering
Badge Secretary:
A reminder to all that the Badge Secretary is at Bedworth on the first Tuesday and 1st Attleborough on the third Tuesday of each month. Use him or lose him is the message.
